The Indiana Hoosiers are the No. 2 team in the nation and for good reason. Not only are they 10-0, but they are statistically the best team in the country. Even better than Ohio State, which is currently ranked above them at No. 1. There are two stats that show that Indiana may actually be the hardest opponent and most unbeatable foe that Wisconsin has or will face all season.
Indiana has the No. 1 offense in the country
The Hoosiers come in as the highest scoring offense in the country at 44.5 points per game. Besides the upset that Penn State almost pulled off last week against Indiana, the Hoosiers have been blasting basically everyone. They beat Illinois 63-10, Oregon 30-20, UCLA 56-6, and Maryland 55-10. It's wildly impressive, and it's led by a Heisman-caliber quarterback, Fernando Mendoza.
Wisconsin has done a good job against top-rated offenses, especially of late. While not nearly at some sort of elite level, 38 is the highest points scored against them (Alabama). Oregon, which averages nearly 40 points a game, scored only 21 against Wisconsin, and Washington, which averages 32.7 a game, scored only 10.
Yet, Indiana is the best of the best and it will really put the Badgers to the test.

To pair the number one offense, the Hoosiers actually throw out the second-best defense in all of the FBS in points allowed. They only allow 12.1 points per game, second behind only Ohio State at 7.2.
This has been the bigger problem to solve for Wisconsin. They can handle a high-power scoring offense and at least give their offense a chance. Then the offense decides to pee their pants instead of scoring points. It's been a disaster all season.
To counterpunch the second-best scoring defense in the country, Wisconsin is throwing out the second-worst scoring offense. The Badgers average 12.6 points per game and have been shut out twice this season, and have scored a maximum of 13 points in a Big Ten game (against Washington).
This is the stat that feels like it could put Indiana in the unbeatable category. The Badgers can't score and the Hoosiers don't let teams score. Yet the first one is daunting as well, and Wisconsin will need some more magic again this week to pull off another upset.
