While some people are concerned, and rightfully so, over the amount of Wisconsin players who have entered the transfer portal, keep in mind that Luke Fickell did a great job with his 2025 class. Loads of playmakers just made things official with the Badgers this week.
Yes, a ton of attention is going to defensive lineman Jaylen Williams and quarterback Carter Smith, as they're no question the jewels for the '25 haul. However, it's time to show some love to the big fellas up front who will be ready to go to battle in the trenches for Fickell.
Throughout history, we've seen how important it is for a strong offensive line class to make an impact for a program. This year, Fickell and his staff focused on recruiting stellar hosses and their heights/weights already have plenty of people talking:
Wisconsin's 2025 offensive line class is loaded with big-bodied talents
What are they feeding these kids at such an early age? Offensive tackle Michael Roeske checks in at 6-8, 305 pounds, while the 'smallest' member of the crew is 6-5, 290-pound hoss Logan Powell. Goodness. There's a ton of size heading to Madison for the 2025 campaign.
Roeske is a tackle that plenty of fans are excited about, as he was ranked the No. 38 OT in the country for his class and the No. 3 player from Wisconsin according to the 247Sports Composite. He chose the Badgers over additional offers from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and multiple others.
Both Hardy Watts and Powell are 4-star signees too, who made things official with the Badgers over plenty of other suitors this cycle. Watts and Powell are projected to play on the inside for Fickell and his offense.
All in all, the '25 class is looking great, but the additions for the offensive line should give fans plenty of reasons to be excited about the future. If Wisconsin is looking to get back to its tough, hard-nosed style of play, these five youngsters can certainly help get things done.
