The Wisconsin Badgers are going to be aggressive in the transfer portal, especially at quarterback. Recently, they've reached out to one of the top transfer portal quarterbacks, Marcus Stokes, according to Hayes Fawcett. He's now the second known transfer quarterback that Wisconsin has been in contact with. He's an intriguing player for a lot of reasons, but his current list should have you thinking the Badgers may be the favorite.

According to Fawcett, Stokes has heard from about 26 schools, but only a handful of them are in the Power 4, and only a couple of those would give an opportunity like Wisconsin could give. Is this the guy Luke Fickell would want to turn the offense over to? There are some really exciting things about his game and some red flags.

Stokes was a 4-star quarterback out of high school and one of the top quarterbacks in his class. He originally committed to Penn State but ultimately flipped to Florida. However, he was eventually cut from the Florida team when a video of him rapping the "n" word went viral. He's been trying to recover from that inappropriate display ever since.

It's now been three years, and it appears he's learned his lesson. He has spent time in D2, and he was the best quarterback in D2 by a long shot. He went for 3,664 yards and 40 touchdowns in this season alone. He can run, and he can throw. He looks like a grown man playing with middle schoolers right now in West Florida. It's now time for him to see what he can do at the D1 level, and pundits are excited for what that could look like.

It will be interesting to see how much Wisconsin works to bring him in, especially with other good quarterbacks in the portal. They've already also made contact with Kenny Minchey from Notre Dame who is listed as another top quarterback in the portal. Keep an eye on things, Luke Fickell will be aggressive and may bring in multiple quarterbacks to compete for the job and be ready as he's experienced a starter loss at quarterback every season in Madison.
