Washington came into Kohl Center and struggled to find any sort of rhythm and any sort of ability to dictate the game. It was a frustrating game if you were a Husky fan but it was just what the doctor ordered for Wisconsin fans who wanted to see a blowout win after losing to Oregon. Washington just could not get anything going and on both ends of the floor, Wisconsin was doing whatever they wanted.
Washington's head coach, Danny Sprinkle, was effusive in his post-game comments praising the Badgers

"That is a team with championship culture and championship habits."
Danny Sprinkle comments on how exceptional Wisconsin was against them
Sprinkle opened up his press conference after the 88-62 Wisconsin victory with praise for the Badgers. He spent most of the time, even in the question-asking section, praising Wisconsin as a team and as a culture. Here are some of the best quotes from the opposing coach:
"Credit to Wisconsin, like I told our team afterwards that's a team that has championship culture and championship habits. They make everything hard. They make going into the post hard, they fight you, they don't allow you to drive it, they do a good job guarding penetration, they box out. There are very few errors and that shows how well coached they are. "Danny Sprinkle
Sprinkle goes on to say that his team got sloppy and made it so Wisconsin could open it up. He described a time in which Tonje hit a corner three and got "them going," which helped the offense explode on the Huskies. Sprinkle also had high praise for Blackwell:
"I thought Blackwell was tremendous the entire game. He was the best player on the floor for the entire 40 minutes. "Danny Sprinkle
One of the frustrations that Sprinkle expressed for preparing for Wisconsin and covering them in the game was how he couldn't play them man-to-man. He said, "They would beat us every time" if they only played them without any help defense or two-man pickups. He said, "If you let them get going, you're in trouble."
He was frustrated that Wisconsin's guards were willing to get rebounds, and his team wasn't. He was astonished that Wisconsin's guards had 26 rebounds as a unit. He is looking for that in his team.
Throughout the press conference, he heaped praise on Wisconsin and even wished them luck in their future as he was impressed with how well-coached and how hard the players made it on his team.
