Wisconsin hasn't finished yet with the transfer portal, as they continue to add players who have a lot to prove and are willing to compete for playing time. The last few additions have been exactly that, and this time it's intriguing D2 offensive lineman, Stylz Blackmon. Last year, he played for Augustana (Sioux Falls, North Dakota) and earned All-Conference awards at left guard.

Blackmon looks poised to make the jump from D2 to D1, as he was clearly a man among boys. When you watch his game tape, you can see that he not only physically outmatched opponents but also often got to the second level. He was part of a line that helped the running backs go for over seven yards a carry.

Blackmon is listed at 6'4 and 300 pounds and fits the prototype that Eric Mateos often likes in the interior line. It will be interesting to see how much run or playing time he earns in his first season for Wisconsin. However, with Blackmon already having played two years in college, he will have limited time to prove he's capable of blocking at the Big Ten level.

While this screams a Mateos lineman project, there isn't much time to make it happen. It may be a depth piece for the Badgers, but it's clearly another addition with high upset and a chip on the shoulder.

It does help Wisconsin immediately, though, as the Badgers have lost three linemen to the portal and a couple to graduation. They need depth and players ready to fight for a spot on the line. Wisconsin has now brought in four offensive lineman and the latest, Blackmon, has Wisconsin fans intrigued.
