The Wisconsin Badgers are currently only recruiting three quarterbacks in the class of 2026 according to 24/7 Sports. One of those quarterbacks has been on the radar for the Badgers for a while and was recruited heavily by Phil Longo before he left to be the head coach at Sam Houston. Currently, head coach Luke Fickell has continued to stay interested in young signal caller, Ryan Hopkins from Mater Dei.

Mater Dei QB Ryan Hopkins will be visiting the Badgers May 29-June 1

Hopkins is listed as a 3-star quarterback from all the major outlets and the now senior play-caller is receiving a ton of interest from all over the country but specifically the Big Ten is where many think he could land. 24/7 Sports thinks that Wisconsin may be the favorite while On3 recruiting thinks it could be Michigan State. He's sitting on 11 offers from schools like Arizona, Washington, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, California, Kentucky, etc.

As of now it seems that he's only locked in a visit to Wisconsin. That's the only visit he has posted on his X social media page. However, it's expected he will be going on others. It's a good sign for Badgers fans that Wisconsin was the first to get him on campus. They are making a big push for Hopkins as he is their top target for the 2026 QB class.

The other two quarterbacks that the Badgers and Luke Fickell are known to be interested in are 4-star Bowe Bentley and 4-star Brodie McWorther (who has narrowed his list to 8 with Wisconsin included).

Bentley has over 20 offers and hasn't narrowed down his recruitment. Bentley exploded onto the scene when he became the starting quarterback and threw for over 4,000 yards on the season. He's received offers from all over the country, and his latest one is from the Georgia Bulldogs.
