It has been one win after another this week for the Wisconsin Badgers football program. Just days after their upset home victory over the No. 23 Washington Washington, the Badgers have picked up another big win, this time on the recruiting trail.

According to Evan Flood of On3 and Rivals, Wisconsin has flipped former Florida International running back commit Qwantavius Wiggins. It should be noted that Auburn and Florida State were also in the home to land him as well...

Hayes Fawcett of On3 had the sweet graphic to tell us that Wiggins has indeed flipped to Wisconsin.

The Fairburn, Georgia native had been committed to Florida International since June, but after an official visit and an offer from Wisconsin, he has now flipped to the Badgers.

The newest Badger was in town to see Wisconsin's upset victory over Washington. He obviously left Madison quite impressed. Wiggins is the No. 24 running back in the 2026 recruiting class, looking to bring his blistering 4.42 speed up to the Big Ten.

“I enjoyed the visit,” Wiggins told Badger Blitz. “They treated me well. It was really good they won that game. It’s crazy there. I didn’t expect that. I thought Wisconsin was a small state.”

Badgers land huge RB commitment in Qwantavius Wiggins in area of need

Wiggins is the second running back to join the 2026 class, pairing up with fellow Georgia native Amari Latimer, who is also the No. 18 running back recruit in the nation. He may be the prize commit of the Badgers' recruiting class, but rumors have swirled about a possible de-commitment coming up soon.

While Latimer continues to take official visits to other notable football programs, the Badgers at least now have some security at the position in the event Latimer does take his talents somewhere else.

Wisconsin's 2026 recruiting class now has 15 commitments and ranks 62nd in the country, based on 247Sports' rankings. So far, two players have de-committed this fall, but the addition of Wiggins is a sign that Badger football is still a great football destination, despite the stockpile of losses in 2025.
