Wisconsin commit Isaac Miller shared a moment on social media in which he completed a full circle moment for the 4-star edge rusher. Miller first posted on X a photo of himself with JJ Watt with a caption that read "JJ Watt in the hometown!!" He followed it up with a childhood note he wrote to Watt that was nearly a decade before. The note revealed that he was hoping at some point to meet Watt; it took nine years, but he finally got his wish.

Miller's note talked about his own childhood and his dad's play in the NFL and how he makes "a lot of sack[s]." Which ended up being a bit prophetic, and how Miller ended up being one of the top players in the state of Wisconsin. See the note below:

Miller grew up knowing Watt was a Wisconsin legend and envisioned himself as a Badger legend just like Watt. Miller's dad, Bronzell Miller, played in the NFL, and so Isaac got into football early and even played the defensive end position early in life. Miller grew up to be 6'5 and 250 pounds, and you can even see in the picture of Watt and Miller how close in size the two are. Now Watt is hoping that Miller truly follows in his footsteps.

Wisconsin has turned out a lot of big-time edge rushers, with Watt being the most notable and maybe the most famous. Miller's childhood was spent knowing about the Badgers as the hometown team, and Watt's legendary status in the state. Miller is now looking to step into the same footsteps and be another in-state kid who sacks a lot of quarterbacks, elevates the Badgers, and eventually lands in the NFL.

The note is a cool touching moment, and why it's important that Badger legends stick around, help with recruiting, and even draw other in-state players to stay home and be a hometown hero.

Miller didn't have to choose Wisconsin; he had 23 offers and many from some of the top programs in the country. He had offers from Indiana, Florida, Michigan, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Miami, and many more. However, being a local player with aspirations to be a Badger and former Wisconsin legends like JJ Watt truly helped him envision himself taking down quarterbacks at Camp Randall.

The hope of many Wisconsin fans is that the new athletic director will help increase this level of connection between players like Watt and many others and the current recruits/players. It hasn't been amazing under Fickell, though it has increased in the last year or so, and maybe that's part of why the local players are staying home more. Fickell hit a home run with in-state recruiting in this class, but we want to see it continue.
