Wisconsin is in a bad spot. It's now cheaper to go to the game against Washington than it is to grab a lunch at Culver's. According to secondhand ticket prices on StubHub, you can get into the Wisconsin vs. Washington game for as low as $10. That's honestly unacceptable but understandable. This team is terrible, and the only control the fans have right now is in ticket sales.
Wisconsin fans have slipped into defiant apathy with their desire to go to the Wisconsin game. Beer sales are down, ticket scans are down, and it matches the program: down.
You can now get into the game on Saturday for $10.

Getting into a Wisconsin football game used to cost hundreds of dollars, and now you may have enough money in your cup holder in your car. It should be embarrassing for the administration and leadership, and if not embarrassing, then at least something Wisconsin would want to fix.
This problem is going to hurt not only Wisconsin football, but it's going to hurt the other athletics and Madison economics as a whole. Yet, the problem is not with the fans; it's with a leadership base that has decided that saving money now by not firing Luke Fickell is more important than creating a winning culture again.
Wisconsin fans are on strike and are tired of what is happening; the best way to get the administration to listen is to not show up for games and boo when they do. Empty seats create a powerful symbol to those in control.
While Chris McIntosh has said that he plans to stick with Luke Fickell, it's hard to think that a two-win season with fans no longer going to games won't change his mind.
