Yesterday, Matt Brown posted about college football beer sales. Wisconsin typically is the top school by a country mile, and yesterday that fact was confirmed again. Yet, today he posted that he had the wrong data about Wisconsin, and they aren't first, they are actually eighth. This confirms a report by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that has alcohol sales at Camp Randall down 19 percent.
Yet, to Wisconsin fans, it's another reminder of a loss of culture, a loss of identity. Fans are coming to the games and thus not buying beer, and many who do come are leaving midway through. It's a sad reality to see another loss on the record, this time in alcohol sales.

I deeply regret to inform all of you that my original story HAD THE WRONG DATA FOR WISCONSIN. Here is the corrected alcohol sales chart, after talking with the school. Your ACTUAL LEADER (among my data) is NEBRASKA.

Wisconsin is not the top college in alcohol sales in an updated report

Wisconsin continues to just take punch after punch. This is a brutal season for the Badgers as they are ranked as the worst team in the Big Ten, worst offense in the power 4, losing recruits left and right, and can't even sell alcohol or tickets to games. It's terrible right now.
The hard part is listening to leadership say it's fine and looking forward to just running back out the same leadership next year, under Coach Luke Fickell and his staff. Fans have developed thick skin and apathy and are mostly moving on to either other Wisconsin sports or turning to something else completely.
The alcohol sales are another reminder of the loss of identity of a program that mostly consisted of big offensive/defensive linemen, running backs, and drinking in the freezing temperatures during a football game. All of that is gone, and it's depressing.
