The Wisconsin Badgers struggled once again on the road, dropping to 2-4 in away games this season. This time, it was a frustrating loss to the Maryland Terrapins 76-68. It seemed like nothing went right except for John Tonje for the Badgers. The game started with a handful of turnovers, and the three-point shot was keeping them in the game. When that failed to fall, but the turnovers and fouls continued, it became a battle to stay consistent.

Swallowed whistles and Klesmit is still bad

A quick note on Klesmit: he truly did struggle in this loss. He went 1-for-8 from the floor and 1-for-6 from three-point range. He also shot 50% from the line today when he is closer to 90% on the season. His poor play was a significant factor in the loss as he started the game and played for 31 minutes and could never find his shot. His poor shooting (besides free throws) has been a consistent problem for him throughout the year. He is shooting 34.3% from the field and 28.9% from behind the arch. He needs to find his stroke for this team to have sustained success.
Back to the fan reactions:
Such a frustrating loss. Maryland is a good team, they were favored, tough place to play. Just wasn’t the team we’ve seen all season, couldn’t hit threes, free throws… frustrating game

Regroup and beat Northwestern on Saturday.
They played well for 75% of the game. Just struggled in final 10minutes or so. It happens when on the road in the B10 against a top half of the league

Wisconsin struggled in the final minutes of the first half and once again in the final minutes of the second half. It was a tough game in a tough place to play. They fall to 16-5 on the season and 6-4 in the Big Ten.
This game against Maryland was a frustrating loss for the Badgers, and while fans are a little disgruntled, there was a huge contingent that simply looked to the next game. It's coming, but it's also on the road where the Badgers can't seem to get or stay hot. They will have another big opportunity on Saturday, February 1, when they head to Evanston, Illinois, to take on Northwestern.
