There has been a lot of news happening around the Wisconsin Badgers especially in regards to the football program. Almost all of it bad news or maybe better stated, frustrating news. However, to make sure everything isn't a bummer, we can toss in some good volleyball news. Let's start there.

Grace Egan is back from injury for the Wisconsin Badgers

The best news of the week is that Grace Egan, after missing all of the Big Ten play, came back for the USC match. While that match didn't go the way of the Badgers, it was a great sign to have Egan back. Coach Kelly Sheffield is still easing her back in and she wasn't quite as sharp as she usually is, but she's back and ready to help lift the Wisconsin Badgers.

As for Charlie Fuerbringer, not much has been updated, it will be weeks before they really feel they have a handle on how long she is out and if she will miss the entire season or not.

Chris McIntosh gives frustrating update on Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program

Chris McIntosh has already issued two votes of confidence for Luke Fickell, which is as many wins as Fickell has for the Badgers this season. So that's a good sign of how things are going.

There's a lot to unpack in the statement he did release and plenty of writers are doing it but mostly it's a dumpster fire of leadership from McIntosh and Fickell. Which it's not just the release it's what's happening around the NFL Scouts and a "he said, she said" situation.

Oh and the attendance woes continue, mostly that the ticket sales don't match the scanned data. And the crowds are way lower, noticeable even on the TV especially in the student section. Things may get much worse before they get better too, if Chris McIntosh has his way.
