Wisconsin running back Gideon Ituka went down in the Indiana game with a scary-looking injury. Eventually, they were carted off the field and headed to be evaluated. The initial news came from the Big Ten Network broadcast saying that Ituka had movement in all his extremities. Then Luke Fickell shared an update that he was being evaluated, but the news was very good.
The best news came from Ituka himself, who posted on social media that he's good and on the team plane headed home.
Just wanna let everyone know I’m doing well. On the team plane headed home with my guys. Thanks for all the love and support.

Gideon Ituka's injury ended up being not as bad as initially feared and was able to fly home to Madison

This is big news from the starting running back for Wisconsin. His initial injury looked like it would be a certain out for the season designation, but his being on the team plane headed home and not in a hospital bed is huge. He may still miss time, but the news is positive for the young player.
He was the Badgers' best runner by far in this game, with nine carries for 32 yards, including a 14-yard run that helped create momentum for Wisconsin. After he left with his injury, the Badgers simply could not get the run game going again.
Darrion Dupree was the running back who took his place and received seven carries for six total yards. While some of that was the offensive line breaking down, Ituka's explosive and extra push was severely missed, and the offense could never develop a rhythm again.
There will hopefully be more updates this week on Ituka that are positive and allow the Badgers to move forward with him, touting the rock again. There are two games left, and Wisconsin would love to steal both of them from Illinois and Minnesota.
