The University of Wisconsin is reportedly looking into allegations directed toward Marisa Moseley and her staff from former player Tessa Towers. In an online trend (mostly on TikTok) titled "You're so funny," in which people post their traumatic, embarrassing, or drama directed toward them, Towers shared about her time in Wisconsin.
Former Wisconsin women's basketball player has gone public with treatment and accusations of abuse she faced while being a part of the program.

Tessa Towers posted allegations on TikTok directed toward Marisa Moseley and Wisconsin women's basketball staff
These posts are alarming and heartbreaking. The Wisconsin administration needs to take them with utmost seriousness and should handle them accordingly. Which, in a statement yesterday, said they would be looking into them. The AP posted Wisconsin's statement yesterday, which said:
""We are aware of comments shared online by former Badger student-athlete Tessa Towers and will be looking into this matter. We care deeply about the physical and mental well-being of all of the student-athletes on our teams, during and after their time on campus. While we would like to share additional context around Tessa's comments, federal privacy laws prohibit us from publicly addressing the health-related claims made on Tessa's social media account.""Wisconsin Athletics
After Towers posted these comments, other former players piled on and affirmed her experience. This makes the allegations not only have more substance but can't be dismissed easily without some care done by the administration.
Former Badger players Krystina Ellew, Tessa Grady, Sydney Hilliard, Imbie Jones, and Sania Vanderpool all respond.

There is something really bad happening at Wisconsin and we as fans cannot stand for this. https://t.co/let6IZZV43 pic.twitter.com/msv16RxCFJ
It wasn't just former players that spoke out on social media. Former Kansas player and coach at a Middleton High School in Wisconsin also said the same thing happened to one of her former players under Moseley's coaching.
For those who might not remember, Angie was a star at Middleton HS, played at Kansas and coached at Verona for 19 years. Only guessing here, but if she knows what has been happening and is willing to speak out, not good for UW. https://t.co/D6jRZRJdYu

The program was already in a rough place in recruiting, on the court, and the perception of fans. There were already growing rumblings to remove Moseley as a leader of her team's performance on the court, but this only made things more urgent and serious.
Wisconsin is 10-10 on the season and 1-8 in the Big Ten with their next game against Michigan on Wednesday, January 29.
