Jack Janicki has endeared himself to the Wisconsin fans long before this moment, but tonight he may have people building the statue. He's a preferred walk-on for the Badgers but he makes a huge impact and he has at pivotal moments all season. He had a career high 22 minutes in the big win over Minnesota 74-67. Towards the end of those 22 minutes, he went up for a rebound and was accidentally undercut by his own teammate. He crashed hard to the floor, face first, and came up without a tooth.
After conferring with a few people, it seems Jack Janicki (yes, really) lost a tooth with 8.6 seconds left. He held it up to the crowd and left the court to a standing ovation. That's pretty sick honestly.

Janicki was all smiles after chipping off his tooth after a hard rebound against Minnesota
Janicki's reaction to losing his tooth was absolutely amazing. He slowly peeled himself off the floor, a teammate pointed out the tooth on the ground, Janicki then picked it up, held it up for the crowd, and smiled all the way back to the bench. What a legend.
He also played an impressive role in the win today, not just playing 22 minutes but scoring six points, recording three assists, and three rebounds. He was all over the place and really stepped into a big hole left by Max Klesmit. He was able to hold things down on defense and provide a ton of energy on offense.
Jack Janicki has to be the best walk on in the league.. Odukale is one of the better perimeter defenders you’ll see pic.twitter.com/PEg1iCqDXr

Janicki is a redshirt freshman from White Bear Lake, Minnesota. There may have been a chip on his shoulder not just on the floor (sorry, couldn't help myself) by playing in his home state and against a program he would love to beat. He was exactly what the doctor ordered after the Badgers struggled in the last game against Michigan State without Klesmit.
Whole lotta love ❤️ https://t.co/AnD8NROS4A

The Wisconsin Badgers will conclude their regular season on Saturday, March 8 against the Penn State Nittany Lions at Kohl Center. It will be senior night as the veterans begin to pass the baton to young guys like Janicki.
