Wisconsin knows exactly what they are facing when it comes to Notre Dame's jersey for the "Shamrock Series." The opening game of the season, as those were revealed earlier today. One Wisconsin fan worked to find the leak of the Badgers fan and may have stumbled upon it. All the clues are there that the jersey he found at Scheels is the jersey for Week 1. But Badger fans hate it and hope it's just a cruel joke.

Wisconsin fans jumped on this post quickly to show their disdain for the potential jersey leak. There were very, very few that liked what appears above. Most thought it was trying too hard or was just plain ugly. Here are a few of the frustrated fan responses:

There were a couple of people who suggested the jerseys could look good with black helmets or even just genuinely liked the overall look. However, most agree they are not ideal. The common complaint was that they looked way too much like Ohio State jerseys with the silver thrown in the threads. That's a non-starter for Badger fans.
Wisconsin doesn't have any silver in its color palette. But if you look at Notre Dame's jersey for this game, you realize the designers aren't too concerned about using extra colors that aren't in the palette. The gold they use is more of a bronze and has some brown undertones in it. Irish fans are also mixed on the Notre Dame jerseys. Though those have a bit of a classic look to them.
The Badger jerseys that are leaked above don't have the same classic look. In fact, it almost has a "futures" look with the oversized numbering and the silver coloring. It's hard to know what the plan is here, but fans will need to wait until the Wisconsin announcement before they jump too quickly to judge these.
Right now, they do look not ideal and worse than what Notre Dame will be wearing, but it is currently a leak and there's no full uniform look. Maybe, as fans have suggested, a black helmet, or maybe the silver is actually more of a white, but this picture doesn't do it justice. Who knows, but for now, we only have a leak, and the fans aren't pleased with it.
