There are a lot of angry Wisconsin Badgers football supporters and understandably so. As all of you know by now, Wisconsin finished the season 5-7, ending a 22-year streak of posting a winning season and reaching a bowl game.

This all falls on the shoulders of head coach Luke Fickell, who saw his team end the year on a five-game losing streak. Following the loss to Minnesota, countless people have been calling for Fickell to get fired - it's not going to happen, though, as Wisconsin can't afford his massive buyout.

Having said that, this was only Year 2 for Fickell. He was a splash hire and there's still hope he can get things right in Madison. That's exactly what senior defensive back Hunter Wohler thinks will happen, as he passionately backed his head coach following the loss to the Golden Gophers:

Wisconsin's Hunter Wohler is fully backing Luke Fickell as head coach

Wohler didn't mince words at all there, saying he 100 percent believes Fickell is going to get the Badgers back in a good spot. That same sentiment is shared around the locker room, as plenty of players are ready to see Fickell silence all of his haters.

At the same time, plenty of people have lost patience. Last season was eye-opening, with a 7-5 regular season being posted and then the loss to LSU in the bowl game. This campaign, losing quarterback Tyler Van Dyke to a torn ACL was back-breaking for the offense.

Braedyn Locke stepped in to run the offense, but he was far too inconsistent with the ball in his hands. Interceptions were an issue for Locke throughout the campaign. It's up in the air if Van Dyke will be back in '25 or not. If he's not, Locke simply can't remain as QB1.

It's going to be a busy offseason for the Badgers, as they'll need a new offensive coordinator to take over for Phil Longo, while it would be wise to look at the transfer portal for new QBs. Wohler will be following the team closely despite no longer being able to suit up. He won't waver in his support for Fickell, as he strongly believes he's the right man for the job.
