The Wisconsin women's hockey team earned the No. 1 seed for the WCHA Final Face-off where a champion will be crowned at the conclusion of the tournament. There are only three total games and Wisconsin is hoping to play in 2 of the 3. The first round games are where the first seed faces off against the fourth seed, and the other game is the second seed versus the third seed. The winner of each game will advance to the championship game to determine the overall WCHA champion.

Wisconsin is the defending champion and is looking to keep the crown and hold on to their championship status. It's a set of games you won't want to miss if you are a hockey fan.

How can I watch the matches?

Game #1

Who: Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs
When: 1:02 pm CT on Friday, March 7
Where: AMSOIL Arena -- The University of Minnesota, Duluth.
Streaming: B1G+ and air on FOX9+ and MY9 Sports

Championship Game

Who: TBD - Winner of Ohio State Buckeyes and Minnesota Golden Gophers
When: 2:02 pm CT on Saturday, March 8
Where: AMSOIL Arena -- The University of Minnesota, Duluth.
Streaming: B1G+ and air on FOX9+ and MY9 Sports

It may feel like at first that Minnesota-Duluth is getting a home game even though they are the 4th seed, but it's simply because they were already the host site, determined long ago for this whole event. Wisconsin will have to battle through that and make sure they can win in spite of having to play where the arena will be hostile to them.

If you would like to attend in person, there are still tickets available, here's what the WCHA website says about attending: "Fans can purchase all-session and single-session tickets for the 2025 Kwik Trip WCHA Final Faceoff. All-Session tickets admit the bearer to both sessions (three games) of the 2025 Kwik Trip WCHA Final Faceoff. Tickets can be purchased online HERE or via phone by calling the UMD Ticket Office at (218)726-8595."

It will be a great series and Wisconsin is looking to not only clinch the automatic bid but continue their magical season and defend their title.
