The drama around the Xavier Lucas situation has been nothing short of insane. Yet, he has been quiet on social media throughout most of it. The person doing most of the posting on behalf of Lucas is his lawyer, Darren Heitner. The latest drama has been what is mostly considered an attorney's representation anyway. He has unenrolled from Wisconsin, enrolled at Miami, and basically transferred without ever being entered into the transfer portal. Xavier Lucas posted a photo and a caption today on X.

Xavier posts pictures of himself in University of Miami football gear and Wisconsin fans flood his replies.
It's a messy situation, but Wisconsin fans are letting Lucas hear in the comments that he should never have left or at least left in the manner that he did. As of this posting, Lucas had 191 replies to his post, and a good chunk of them are Wisconsin fans. "Lawsuit incoming..." may be one of the most common types of messages. However, there are others about how they stole NIL money or created a sketchy situation.

They were some Wisconsin fans who wished him well on his next journey and said kind things out the door. Any comment section over something as messy as this will be a mixed bag of reactions. It only goes to show that this may end up being one of the most important stories in college sports, as the NIL situation is still a mess. That MOUs, athlete signatures, and NIL are all still the Wild West.
What makes this story more captivating is that this situation has now gotten to a point where a school (the University of Wisconsin) and a conference (the Big Ten) are pursuing the next steps in this fight. Nothing has been formally announced, but it feels like this drama is headed to court.
