Wisconsin football: A look at the 30 best games in school history

The Wisconsin football team has played 1,200 games since the program began back in 1889, and Badger of Honor will dive into the best of the best from all that action, looking for the 30 best games in school history.

Looking back at the course of more than 125 of Badgers football, picking out just 30 games isn’t an easy task. Its even tougher considering information fating back to the early 1900s is tough to come by. Luckily, the Badgers have offered plenty to choose from as of late, as the program, dating back to the late 90s, is as strong as it’s ever been.

Wisconsin has seen plenty of highs in its history, and has played to many nail-biting finishes and blowout wins. The Badgers have huge bowl game victories and gritty losses to tough opponents. With marquee players leading the way, the Badgers have set numerous NCAA and Big Ten records during their tenure, and many of those big games will be featured on this list.

You’ll see Rose Bowl victories and defeats, rivalry triumphs and night-game heroics. This list features some of the Badgers most important wins in school history, as well as some losses that marked big steps forward for the Badgers.
