Right now, everyone is waiting to see what the Wisconsin Badgers will be able to get done against the No. 1 Oregon Ducks this weekend. However, it's safe to say that not a lot of people think Luke Fickellwill be able to even keep things close.

Add ESPN radio host Ben Brust to that list. On a recent spot, Brust didn't hold back with his thoughts on how things are going for the Badgers. Following the recent 42-10 loss to Iowa, Brust has just about HAD IT with this football team. Goodness:

Wisconsin is hoping to stun No. 1 Oregon this weekend in Madison

"Luke Fickell as Wisconsin's football coach has over promised and under delivered 100 percent," Brust said. "The marketing campaign, I got fooled. I completely got fooled because you know what, all that matters are the results on the field. Say what you want about the Badgers and the future of the program, I don't care."

Those are the words of a man who is not loving what he's seeing out of Fickell and his staff. Things feel like they reached a new low with the 32-point loss to Iowa. Legendary coach Barry Alvarez was furious with that performance, going on to add that he doesn't know the identity of this team.

Things have been so frustrating, plenty of people all over the state are calling for Fickell to be fired already. Did we expect that with this being his second full year in charge? Not at all. At the end of the day, the results haven't been there for Wisconsin in 2024.

Losing Tyler Van Dike to a torn ACL was major adversity Fickell and Co. couldn't afford, as backup quarterback Braedyn Locke has tossed at least one interception in six straight games. The best way for Fickell to silence his haters would be to take down Oregon, but that looks quite unlikely.
