Tyler Biadasz was cut by the Washington Commanders in an effort to save money. Now, Biadasz has used his release as an opportunity for a pay raise. He signed a brand new deal before the NFL free agency opens with the Los Angeles Chargers for 3 years and $30 million, according to Ian Rapoport.
It doesn't take a math genius to see that Biadasz has found himself a raise in the process. The NFL's lack of top-tier centers helps Biadasz, as he is still considered one of the better interior offensive linemen in the league. His cut came out at a great time, and now both he and the Chargers get exactly what they needed.

The Chargers didn't want to mess with free agency and grab Tyler Biadasz before it opens

The Chargers were ready to get this done before the free agency period opens up and the market gets a bit crazier. Los Angeles also gets a center upgrade at a time when they are pushing for the playoffs this next season. Biadasz gets what he wants with a pay raise and recognition when one team decided he wasn't worth the money.
Biadasz will step right into the starting role as the previous center for the Chargers, Bradley Bozeman, retired last month. According to ESPN, Biadasz is an upgrade anyway for the Chargers from Bozeman, as Biadasz grades higher in both pass protection and run blocking.
The former Badger continues to help the case for Wisconsin producing top NFL offensive linemen. Biadasz was a homegrown player who played for the Badgers and actually left with one season of eligibility left. He was willing to bet on himself to jump into the NFL Draft, and it seems like every time Biadasz bets on himself, it pays off extraordinarily. This time it was in a pay raise with the Chargers.
