The Wisconsin Badgers had two players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft: safety Hunter Wohler and offensive lineman Jack Nelson. The Badgers also had three other players signed as undrafted free agents: offensive lineman Joe Huber, cornerback RJ Delancy, and wide receiver Bryson Green. Making it so five former Badgers are now on NFL rosters.

Today two other former Badgers were invited to participate in NFL rookie minicamps: linebackers Jaheim Thomas and John Pius.

Jaheim Thomas was invited to the Carolina Panthers Rookie Minicamp

Jaheim Thomas came to Wisconsin via the transfer portal last season, having previously played as a starting linebacker at Arkansas. He came to the Badgers and mixed in and out but played in 11 games, making 53 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack.

Thomas will now have a chance to prove himself that he is worth a roster spot or at least a practice squad invite to the Carolina Panthers.

John Pius was invited to the Cleveland Browns Rookie Minicamp

John Pius also came to the Badgers last season via the transfer portal from William and Mary. While he wasn't a starter for the Badgers, he did play in all 12 games, posting 21 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. He mostly played for Wisconsin off the edge, rushing the passer rather than in space playing coverage.

Pius now has a chance to prove he belongs on an NFL roster or at least try to secure an invite to the Cleveland Browns practice squad.

This brings the total of seven Wisconsin Badgers drafted, signed, or invited onto NFL rosters or camp rosters. Hunter Wohler going to the Indianapolis Colts, Jack Nelson to the Atlanta Falcons, Joe Huber to the Minnesota Vikings, RJ Delancy to the New York Giants, Bryson Green to the Arizona Cardinals, Jaheim Thomas to the Carolina Panthers, and finally John Pius to the Cleveland Browns.
