Greg Gard has had a solid transfer portal so far, adding three great weapons to the offense. He already has a decent bench full of upside, and maybe he was thinking about being done with the guards/wings, as a final stretch four would be helpful for him. However, a new name just entered the portal, and Greg Gard has to jump all over it.

Davion Hannah from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was recruited by the Badgers out of high school. He played AAU basketball with Zach Kinziger. He was a former 4-star top 50 recruit who chose to go to Alabama and play for the Crimson Tide after high school. He's now in the portal, and he would slide right into the starting lineup for Wisconsin.

Greg Gard may have the final starter for his team if he can convince Davion Hannah to come home

Hannah spent only one season in Alabama and saw limited action, as most true freshmen do in high-majors. He averaged 12.7 minutes per game on a deeper bench, with 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in those minutes. However, he could bring over the pop that Wisconsin needs, pairing him with the other guard transfer that the Badgers recently picked up.

Many wonder if Gard has already found his shooting guard in Trey Autry. The Badgers signed him earlier this week. Yet, it never sat right as the "sure" next starter. Not that Autry isn't great, he's an excellent shooter with a ton of basketball IQ. He feels like an important piece, but not the final piece to the guard puzzle. It could be that Gard rotates in some of his younger players who didn't see much last season, like Kinziger or Jones.

However, now that Hannah is in the portal, it's an obvious addition, and Hannah would fight for that final starting spot on the team. The stars seem to be lining up, and Gard needs to bring Hannah home.
