After the Wisconsin Badgers dropped their first Big Ten game to the Maryland Terrapins, the odds for winning the Big Ten also dropped dramatically. The Badgers never had great odds to win the Big Ten, but they were middle of the road in the Big Ten; now they are tied with the bottom feeders of the conference.

Wisconsin now has +30000 to win the Big Ten. That's as bad as Purdue, Northwestern, and UCLA. This is a list of the worst teams perpetually in the Big Ten and one new team to the conference that recently fired its coach.

According to FanDuel, these odds are among the worst in all the Power 4 conferences and only reinforce how far things have fallen for the Badgers. Now, if you want to waste a dollar, you could throw it down now and make $30,000 if Wisconsin somehow turned things around and won the conference. It's hard to see that happening after a loss to Maryland.

The odds only reveal what is now painfully obvious to Badger fans: Wisconsin is one of the bad teams in the conference now. Other teams are looking at Wisconsin on their schedule as an easy win. And honestly, that's fair because they are an easy win right now. They didn't even put up a fight against Maryland.

Could things turn around? Maybe, but it seems unlikely, as nothing was going well for Wisconsin on Saturday, and they were playing in front of their own fans. There needs to be a change, and it's obvious to almost everyone except the Wisconsin Athletic Director, Chris McIntosh, who has voiced his support for head coach Luke Fickell, even after the Maryland loss.

The new odds just show the state of the program, and it's discouraging.
