Luke Fickell is riding a hot streak in recruiting this week. He's landed his second tight end for the 2026 recruiting class and his fifth player to the class in the last week. It all comes after an impressive recruiting weekend last week, with over 15+ recruits on campus. There has been a commitment wave since Saturday that Wisconsin is surfing, with even more projected commitments on the way.

The latest commitment is from 3-star TE Jack Janda out of Orchard Lake, Michigan. He visited this last weekend and came away impressed, so much so that he's decided to make his pledge to the Badgers.

3-star TE Jack Janda has made his commitment to the Wisconsin Badgers

This is big news for the Badgers as they made 2026, a year in which they went after the tight end position. They've now landed their two most important TE targets. It was only yesterday that Jack Sievers from Everett, Washington, decided to commit to the Badgers. Sievers, similar to when TJ Watt came to Wisconsin years ago, is projected as a TE but can also rush the passer. That turned out pretty well for both Watt and Wisconsin.

Janda is a 6'6", 245 lb who projects to be a true TE at the next level. He can block but also run routes to be a pass-catching threat off the line. He's big, strong, and very athletic.

Janda had a few more visits lined up before he decided to shut down his recruitment; he was supposed to go to Michigan State, Stanford, and Illinois. Those trips are no longer happening as he has decided to be fully committed to the Badgers.

Wisconsin has another big recruiting weekend set up for this coming weekend. It may not quite have 15+ recruits on campus but there are a handful coming and so there could be another wave to ride soon for Luke Fickell.
