The Wisconsin Badgers have added another portal commitment today, this time from a Big 12 starting cornerback, Eric Fletcher. This is now the fourth player that Luke Fickell has added to next year's roster, joining former Iowa State players running back Abu Sama III and safety Carson Van Dinter, and tight end Jacob Harris from Bowling Green.
Fletcher was a rotational starting cornerback from Oklahoma State as a redshirt freshman last year, playing in eight total games. It looks like Wisconsin may have one of its needed cornerbacks for next year.

Eric Fletcher has used the transfer portal twice now in his career. He started his career at East Carolina but used his redshirt that season. He then transferred to Oklahoma State with four years of eligibility left. However, when the Cowboys decided to move away from their head coach, Mike Gundy, it pushed Fletcher back to the portal.
He will now be a Badger with three seasons to play and some experience under his belt. He originally is from Fort Myers, Florida, and was an under-the-radar recruit, which is why he landed at East Carolina.
This is a big addition for Wisconsin as they won't be returning much experience at the cornerback position next season. Nyzier Fourqurean was never able to play this year even though Luke Fickell was planning on him. Rico Hallman has run out of eligibility and plans to test his hand in the NFL Draft. Geimere Latimer has entered the transfer portal.
The other players were all young too and so Wisconsin really needs a cornerback with some experience and can slide into a starting spot or at least compete for one. That's exactly what Fletcher brings to the table for the Badgers.
