Wisconsin has picked up one of the best players in the state of Maryland, and at a position of incredible need, the offensive line. 4-star offensive tackle Brady Bekkenhuis has flipped his commitment from Boston College to Luke Fickell and the Badgers. He's been one of the fastest risers in the class, and according to 24/7 Sports, is now considered the 39th best OL for 2026.

The Badgers have been up a creek lately with the 2026 recruiting class, as four players have decided to either flip or reopen their recruitment. It's been a frustrating year on and off the field for Luke Fickell. However, recent success against ranked opponents, Washington and Illinois, has slowed the trickle out.
It has also brought momentum for new recruits coming. Luke Fickell was able to flip running back Qwantavius Wiggins from FIU. Wisconsin is also considered the favorite to land 4-star linebacker Karsten Busch, a former Louisville commit. Add in Bekkenhuis and Fickell may be on a heater.
It's always been said, and Fickell has even said it himself, that winning fixes recruiting. Losing does the opposite. This season has shown both examples very clearly.
Adding Bekkenhuis is an upgrade to even what Wisconsin had in the 2026 recruiting class before they decommitted: Maddox Cochrane and Benjamin Cochrane. Not only does he bring in another blue-chip recruit, but he's also listed at 6'6 and 295 pounds. According to Evan Flood of On3.com, he has "eye-popping lateral quickness and the ability to finish at the second level."
As signing day is just a few days away, Fickell is finding a way to upgrade the 2026 recruiting class. When it looked like it was going to be one of the worst, this addition is huge. Now, to add just a few more.
