For the first time since former player Tessa Towers went public with allegations of mistreatment against Wisconsin women's basketball coach Marisa Moseley, Moseley has spoken about the incident.

Save for an official statement sent out by the University to media members who inquired about the allegations, the University of Wisconsin and its Women's Basketball program have been silent. That is until Moseley was asked a question in the post-game press conference following the Badgers' 82-75 victory over Michigan on Wednesday.

Marisa Mosely prepared a statement to share about the Tessa Towers allegations

"As the school said in their statement, I cannot comment on any student-athletes health-related claims due to federal laws," Moseley began. "As I've stated previously, any of my players' mental and physical well-being will always come before basketball. My staff and I work hard and pride ourselves on trying to create an environment that welcomes everyone and that we try to build positive and lasting relationships with these players."

She finished the statement by mentioning she' has fully participated in the university's procedures.

A follow-up question inquired about what the program does to assist or aid in player's mental health and how they encourage open conversations on mental health. Moseley deferred back to her original statement and noted she'd prefer to keep those topics internal.

At the end of the press conference, Moseley was asked about the status of Tessa Grady. Grady, a sophomore, hadn't been on the bench in recent weeks and had been left off the Big 10's official availability reports. Grady commented on Towers' TikTok, implying she had also been mistreated. Grady remains listed on the Badger's official roster.

In response to the question, Moseley simply said, "(Grady) wasn't available for the game this evening."

The Badgers, who broke their eight-game losing streak Wednesday, will be back in action Sunday at Purdue.
