The kickoff to college football season is here, and Wisconsin fans will be tuning in to watch, but the question is: how to prioritize the games. There are eight games on Saturday, August 29, and they range somewhere from "hate watch" to "eh, I guess" for Wisconsin fans. Let's dive in.

8. Jacksonville State vs. North Dakota State

Not much Wisconsin relevance, and the game will be overlapping with other more fun games to watch during that time slot. It's also on CBSSN, so you may as well just ignore this game. The one cool aspect is that North Dakota State is joining the FBS world, and so there is that historical nugget.

7. Hawai'i at Stanford

Another game without a ton of intrigue, and it's also on the ACC Network. Not an easy channel to find, nor is it one to purchase if you don't already have it. Badger fans may care about the fact that Stanford eventually plays Notre Dame, but let's be real, once Wisconsin plays Notre Dame, that game will get put on the back of our stove (unless the Badgers upset Notre Dame, then it may matter).

6. Memphis at UNLV

The late-night game, and if you are a night owl and a college football junkie, this is perfect. It should be a good matchup too, so feel free to binge. The downside is there's not much Wisconsin football relevance. It ranks above the other two because it should be a good matchup and it's going to be the only game on.

5. New Mexico State at Florida State

If you are rooting for a coach to be on a hotter seat than Luke Fickell, purely so you don't have to hear it so much, you want to root for New Mexico State. Mike Norvell could be the first coach fired this season, and his leash is short. However, this game is on CW and may be hard to find on your TV.

4. NC State at Virginia

This may end up being the best game of the day in terms of actual football competition. It doesn't have a lot of Wisconsin relevance, but it's Week 0, and we want to watch good football. This may be the most likely candidate.

3. Sacramento State at Eastern Michigan

Eastern Michigan is a Wisconsin opponent in a few weeks (Sept. 19). It's a team that shouldn't present a problem for the Badgers, but if you want to do a little scouting, here's a good chance. That game is on ESPN+. Also, former Badger Jamel Howard is on the Sacramento State roster.

2. San Jose State at USC

Another future Wisconsin opponent is USC, and one that we've circled over here. This is Lincoln Riley's most pressure-packed year. He has yet to do anything of relevance at USC, and the clock is ticking. The Badgers, if they can put all their pieces together, could truly pull off the upset. Scout this game on NBC at 2 pm. There's also the former Badger connection with Tucker Ashcraft on the Trojans' roster.

1. North Carolina vs. TCU

The No. 1 game for Wisconsin fans is the first game of the day, UNC vs. TCU. A purely hate-watch piece, as former Badger Billy Edwards Jr. will be at the helm of the Tar Heels' offense and throwing to Trech Kekahuna. Both players left the Badger program this last offseason. This game is at 9 am on ESPN.
