Former Badger Steven Crowl is not expected to be drafted, but that doesn't mean he won't be on an NBA or G-League roster next year. The line of NBA draft workouts that Steven Crowl has put together is impressive for a player who's not ranked in any of the NBA Draft Big Boards. According to HoopsHype, he has had six workouts for NBA teams, and not all teams report their lists, so it is quite possibly more.
Steven Crowl has worked out for at least six NBA teams
Six teams have posted that Crowl has worked out with them: the New Orleans Pelicans, Charlotte Hornets, Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors, and the Denver Nuggets. These are all listed on the HoopsHype page. The problem is that these could only be a small sample of his actual workouts. For example, John Tonje is listed once on here, but he publically said he's had seven workouts with five more to go.
He's an intriguing prospect for NBA Scouts, and teams want to see him in person. He's 7 feet tall and can shoot the three. This is a much-needed commodity in the modern NBA game, with all the spacing and ability to stretch the center position out.
The chances are still pretty low that he actually gets drafted or even signs a contract with the NBA. He most likely will end up playing in one of the international leagues, with the NBA keeping tabs on him, similar to what has and is currently happening with Nigel Hayes-Davis.
The first round of the NBA Draft is on June 25 with the second to follow the next day on June 26.
