The Chicago Bears received some crazy news today when their star center, Drew Dalman, at 27 years old, announced he was retiring from football. He's one of the top centers in the league, and he's hanging up his cleats in a time when the Bears are trying to make a push not only for the playoffs but deeper into the playoffs than this last season. Enter, Former Badger Tyler Biadasz.

Biadasz was recently released by the Washington Commanders as he was nearing the end of his contract. The Bears were quick to host Biadasz and are working to see if he's the center to replace Dalman.

Biadasz will have plenty of suitors in the NFL as free agency has yet to really get underway. It won't start until March 9. Right now, teams are mostly making cuts, deciding about franchise tags, and figuring out their draft plans. Yet, the window is opening, and there will be a clear market for Biadasz.

Badger fans may be hoping he lands back in Wisconsin, as the Green Bay Packers could use a center. And maybe avoiding their rivals, the Chicago Bears. However, at the end of the day, the ultimate goal is a big NFL deal for Biadasz. Followed up by another Pro Bowl, his second appearance after getting a nod in 2022.

It's not even out of the realm of possibility that he signs back with Washington, as the Commanders still need a starting center. Especially if the decision to release him was purely salary cap. Though there is some debate on that.

ESPN lists Biadasz as one of the top-100 players available in the NFL Free Agency, citing his pass-blocking ability and his now veteran status in the league.
