It's time to wipe away the bad memories from the 2024 season for the Wisconsin Badgers. Yup, after going 5-7 on the campaign, head man Luke Fickell and his players (the ones who aren't transferring that is) need to flush the past and focus on the future.
On Wednesday, Wisconsin's official 2025 schedule was released and we fully know when/where the Badgers will be playing come next year. After posting only five wins this past fall, how many victories are going to be on the way for Fickell and Co. next season?
Wisconsin's 2025 football schedule features plenty of tough games
There's no reason Wisconsin shouldn't start off the season 2-0, as Miami (Ohio) and Middle Tennessee will be on their way to town. After that, though, a trip to Tuscaloosa is going to be rough for Fickell. Maryland is a game UW should win after that, though, giving fans hope for a 3-1 start.
Oh, but then bad news will come in, with four-straight games against Michigan, Iowa, Ohio State and Oregon. Then, meeting Washington isn't going to be easy either, as Jedd Fisch is hoping to get the Huskies back on track following a difficult first year in the Big Ten.
Taking a look at the schedule, there's loads of concerns that another 5-7 season is going to be on the way. If that's the case, even more people are going to be calling for Fickell to be fired. He's in desperate need of a bounce-back year, but this schedule will do him no favors.
With Tyler Van Dyke and Braedyn Locke both deciding to enter the transfer portal, it's fully unknown who the team's QB1 will be, but Fickell is surely looking at targets in the portal too. Whoever he decides to bring in could play a pivotal role in the season being much better than people think it will be.
