Jake Renfro went down with a leg injury early in the fall camp. While at the end of camp, he was seen doing individual drills, but there was no real update about his week one availability. Wisconsin fans may have seen a sneak peek of how he's doing after the new video was posted on social media. The video is not about Renfro, but he's the main character in it, helping bring in the throwback uniform reveal.
He's up, moving around, and doesn't have a brace. Sure, he's not participating in any contact, and he's simply in street clothes; it's significant to see him with no brace, padding, boot, crutches, or any other thing that would indicate he isn't ready to go for next week.
safe to say the team is excited about the throwback uniforms 😁 pic.twitter.com/OJPAKVern8

Jake Renfro was never ruled out for week one, and there was plenty of optimism he would be good-to-go for Miami (OH), and this video only made fans more excited to see the star center healthy and well.
Renfro is one of the top players returning this season for the Badgers. He started every single game last season for Wisconsin and helped anchor a line that only allowed 13 sacks last season. Even though the offense as a whole struggled, the offensive line was solid. Renfro was a big reason why. His return this season and his ability to help that unit adjust to the new offense will be a big key this season.
The first game of the season is now a week away. The Badgers take on the Miami (OH) Redhawks at 8 pm CST at Camp Randall. You can catch the game on the Big Ten Network.
