Unreal from Baun.

He was a stud for the Wisconsin Badgers and now he's looking like a Pro Bowler for the Philadelphia Eagles. No, actually, Zack Baun could end up being an All-Pro playmaker once the 2024 campaign gets wrapped up.

Baun has been on fire this year, looking like arguably the best linebacker in the NFL of late. On Thursday night against the Commanders, Baun once again played well, coming up with one of the biggest plays of the game for his team.

In the fourth quarter, the Commanders were facing 4th-and-2 from the Philly 25. Rather than kick the field goal to take the lead, Dan Quinn decided to go for it. Baun made him pay for that decision, stopping quarterback Jayden Daniels well short of the sticks.

Former Wisconsin LB Zack Baun is having an unreal year for the Eagles

That's how you lay the lumber. Baun caught Daniels at the right angle and wasn't going to let him come close to getting the first down. Philly got the ball back and then two Saquon Barkley touchdowns late sealed the big-time NFC East win for them.

This was a statement victory for the Eagles too, as the Commanders have been sharp and were hoping to land a haymaker on them. Instead, Philly reminded Washington that they're still the favorites to win the division this year.

Barkley has been an unreal addition on offense, while Baun has been one of the best defensive signings from last offseason. Can you believe Howie Roseman signed him to a one-year deal for less than $2 million? Unreal.

With the way Baun has looked in '24, he's going to be getting a huge new contract this offseason. He fully deserves it too, as he's been a joy to watch this fall. Wisconsin fans are always going to have a ton of love for him and they're surely jacked up to see him getting the job done in primetime too.
