Wisconsin may be done with its official visit season for the 2027 recruiting class. After an incredible start to the official visit season, everything fizzled out in the later visits. The Badgers haven't had an uncommitted recruit to convince in two weeks. The latest recruit to drop their visit to Wisconsin is Bennett Konkey, a speedy receiver from Geneva, Illinois. He was set to be in town today, but it appears that plan has changed as 24/7 Sports has removed his visit from their database.
Konkey already had a full slate and will still be taking five total official visits to Northwestern, Iowa, Iowa State, Illinois, and Indiana. The Hoosiers will get the final visit for Konkey this coming weekend. The Badgers currently have no known visitors the rest of the way for official visit season.
This isn't a bad thing, as Luke Fickell and Wisconsin did all their damage at the beginning of the cycle, and some of the best players in the class are even ahead of this visit season. The Badgers have 22 committed recruits and a top-15 class as of now. So, while things have fizzled out and all the remaining recruits that were slated to visit have slowly disappeared off the calendar, Fickell isn't done.

The visits for 2027 may be done, but he still has a couple of recruits he's working on. The major one is Brody Pfannenstiel, a Texas Tech commit, ranked the No. 2 player in the state of Kansas. Pfannenstiel just finished his visit to the Red Raiders, but Fickell hasn't given up on flipping him to the Badgers. After his visit to Madison, he's quoted as saying the Badgers gave him a lot to think about. While it will still take a final buzzer-beater to get him to flip, the option is definitely on the table.
The other option is 4-star offensive lineman Alijah Shaw. He's a mountain of a recruit, and everything is quiet on his side. However, he visited recently, and he would be an important addition to the class.
Luke Fickell also has to focus on keeping his recruits until December

Speaking of flips, the big task for any program, right now but especially Wisconsin, is keeping its recruits in the fold until signing day in December. Sharks are already circling, and with Wisconsin coming off a 4-8 season, but having a top-15 recruiting class, don't be surprised to see other top programs swooping in and trying to steal.
The top recruit is 4-star Mekhi Williams, but he's recently shut down his recruitment and affirmed his desire to be a Badger. Most of the other top recruits are in-state players, which makes them slightly safer. However, there are some really good pieces to this class from around the country that other programs would love to steal. Players like Yahzeen Zion, David Hill, Jai Jones, Steele Harris, and many more. Fickell will need to work tirelessly to retain his best recruits.
