Wisconsin is not quite done with its class, and there's most likely more recruiting drama down the road, but it's really turned quiet this weekend. Luke Fickell secured a No. 13 recruiting class with 22 committed recruits and did almost all of that work before the official visit season ends, next week. In fact, as of now, the Badgers may not have a single hosted visitor this week who's not already committed to Wisconsin.
It went from a half-dozen to a couple of recruits, to now none, with the latest commitment from Blaise Burwell to Colorado State. Things have changed rapidly for this final weekend of official visits. In a weekend that looked like it may have been "save the best for last." It turned out to be "we already made our decision, sorry Fickell."
It's not a terrible thing for the Badgers. Wisconsin did so much damage at the beginning of the official visit season that there isn't even a sting by recruits dropping like flies for this weekend. In fact, there may not have been a whole lot of room left for them in the class. It's a 2027 recruiting class that already has 22 and only room for presumably a few more.
As far as I can tell, Wisconsin will now have 0 (uncommitted) visitors this weekend. https://t.co/Yosy3er0Cf

Luke Fickell made a huge recruiting splash early so he wasn't scrambling late

This 2027 recruiting cycle has been a bit different as players are committing before experiencing all their visits. Sure, there are always plenty that take a visit or two and then commit without finishing the circuit, but it seems like a whole lot more are doing it for 2027. Which is why Wisconsin stacked that first weekend with as many priority recruits as possible. Anyone who couldn't make it that first weekend was pushed to the second weekend.
Between weekend one and weekend two, the Badgers added eight more recruits (nine if you count Jack Tabbert, who flipped during an OL/DL camp). That's a homerun for Wisconsin and Fickell.
The only confirmed visitor this weekend is, in fact, Tabbert. He committed and decided to use his official visit this weekend. Which means, there may not be any recruiting juice like there is most weekends. However, the Badgers may not quite be done.
There are two more uncommitted recruits still on the list for visits: 3-star edge Finn Walker and 3-star wide receiver Bennett Konkey. Though they also have other school visits in between, so it's hard to know if those two will even end up in Madison or not.
Wisconsin is also still trying to flip 3-star edge recruit Brody Pfannenstiel, and there's still hope for Alijah Shaw to become a Badger (though that hope seems to be diminishing a little). So, the class may not be done, and truly, there may also still be some more drama later in the fall as everything begins to be finalized, and then National Signing Day (early period) is not until December 2. So, who knows what can still happen, but for now, we relish in 22 commitments and a No. 13 class.
