It's a good thing that Wisconsin did amazing to start this official visit season because the final weekend is falling apart. One player after another is disappearing from their June 12 weekend visits. It started with around half a dozen recruits coming; there is now only one. Each of the players who were planning to be in Madison is off the board as they commit to other programs. The latest is 4-star cornerback Evan Via, who just committed to Stanford.
This is a bit of a changeup to what many expected, especially as he just grabbed a Notre Dame offer the other day. Via was very happy about the offer and said it changed things for him. However, Stanford found a way to get him to not only ignore the Irish but also to cancel his Wisconsin visit by committing to the Cardinal.
Via isn't the only one that has dropped off the board due to commitments elsewhere.

4-star athlete Cooper Ohnmacht was also on the list for this weekend, but he committed to Kansas State yesterday. This news was a bit less surprising, as he was leaning towards the Wildcats for a while, and getting him even to schedule a visit felt big for the Badgers. However, he never made it, as he committed after his visit to Kansas State.
Another visitor that was on the list was 3-star cornerback Logan Debose. He also decided to stay home and play for his hometown Houston Cougars. There was hope that Luke Fickell could get him to come out of state, but ultimately, after Debose's visit to Houston, he knew he wanted to be the hometown hero and go to the University of Houston.
The other name on the list was 3-star wide receiver Ake O'Neal from Argyle, Texas. It's hard to know what happened here, as he didn't commit anywhere, but 24/7 Sports is reporting he's no longer visiting. The only visits (either past or present) he has on the docket now are Duke, Utah, and Oklahoma State. On3 still has him visiting this weekend, so this may truly be a "stay tuned" moment.
If O'Neal is indeed off the visit board, this leaves only one uncommitted recruit coming this weekend: 3-star cornerback Blaise Burwell. To add to Burwell's visit, it appears that newly committed offensive line recruit Jack Tabbert will also be in Madison.

Burwell is now a top priority as Fickell would love a true corner in the 2027 class. He's a tall corner at 6'1, and his other two visits are West Coast teams: Washington State and Oregon State. Burwell is a bit raw but shows a ton of potential, and he's high on Wisconsin. He told Nick Osen of 24/7 Sports, "The Badgers are one of my top schools. I love Coach Steeples, I love the environment. They are doing a really good job in the 2027 class.”
It seems as if Burwell is truly waiting for his visit to make his choice, and that choice may in fact be the Badgers.
